2009 AACTFest to be held in Washington State.

Our Region IX Representative, Jon Douglas Rake from Tacoma Musical Playhouse, and WSCTA President Judy Cullen presented our proposal for Tacoma to host AACTFest 2009 in Fort Worth at the February 17 AACT Winter Board Meeting. Larry Fisher and John Bulla from Las Cruces, NM – presenting their proposal for their equally scenic area of the country, joined us in the bid process. We are pleased to announce that Tacoma’s bid was accepted, and June of 2009 will see over 600 community theatre enthusiasts from around the nation gather right here in the Pacific Northwest to celebrate, perform, and learn together. We think this will be a great opportunity for Tacoma theatres as well as community theatre in Washington State as a whole. We’ll keep you posted on ways YOU can be involved in AACTFest 2009. AACTFest 2009 will be jointly hosted through a partnership between Tacoma Little Theatre, Tacoma Musical Playhouse, and The Washington State Community Theatre Association.

Send us six to ten photo's of a recent production
